3 men drown in lake while washing cows in Nanjangud

They had gone to the lake to wash their cows ahead of Ugadi.

Mysuru, 29 March

Three men drowned in a lake when they went to wash their cattle at Kamahalli in Nanjangud taluk here on Saturday. Police said the deceased are Vinod, 17; Basavegowda, 45, and Muddegowda, 48. They were related and natives of the same village. 

They had gone to the lake to wash their cows ahead of Ugadi. Vinod got stuck in a slush and drowned along with his cow. The other two drowned while trying to save Vinod.

Biligere Police retrieved their bodies and handed them to the families after post mortem.
